Downtown Jersey City is very well connected to NYC via the PATH train, of Newport/Pavonia, Exchange Place and Grove Street are the three train stations. There are also ferries that run to NYC from Exchange Place.

There are primarily two types of homes styles in Jersey City, Condominiums and multifamily homes.

First Style

Second Style

Multifamily homes are the other style of homes you will see in Jersey City, these are generally two-three family homes found a little away from the waterfront. You also have the ability to combine these two-three units into a single family home. These are also referred to as brownstones.

Schools

The Jersey City Public Schools offers a diverse array of schools.  We have fourteen (14) Elementary Schools (Pre-K–5), thirteen (13) Grammar Schools (Pre-K-8), four (4) Middle Schools (6-8), six (6) High Schools (9-12), one (1) Secondary School (6-12), one (1) Alternative Program (serving grades 6-12), and four (4) Early Childhood Centers.  At the secondary level, we offer comprehensive Middle and High Schools as well as district-wide selective programs to suit a range of interests and talents

Places of Interest

Jersey City has a lot to offer in terms of places to visit. Check out some of the highlights below

Head over to the Newport Center Mall and enjoy all it has to offer, amazing shops, food court, restaurants (Cheese Cake Factory)

Jersey City has the most amazing boardwalk with the best views of the Hudson and Manhattan skylines. There are some nice restaurants along the way and some lovely parks. You can also just bike along the boardwalk.
